Itinerary Kruger National Park / Mpumalanga Safari Tour (3 days) - KNPMPS4A3 Day 1 Day 2 Day 3 Tour Notes Towering mountains, impressive rivers, lust vegetation bushveld, the "Big Five" and other wildlife?are all characteristics of this province south east of Gauteng Province. Attractions in this beautiful region range from game viewing and bird watching to drives across scenic valleys and peaks of the vast escarpment. The world-famous Kruger National Park - Home of the 'Big Five' is our main attraction of the tour. The people of Mpumalanga, Province of the "Rising Sun", will welcome you with open arms, from those seeking mystique and diversity of an African bushveld, to those wishing to relax in the variety of environments offered. . Day 1: ( +- 5 hour travel by Microbus) Depart at 08h00 from your Johannesburg destination or (OR Tambo) International airport from Johannesburg at your arrival time, to the southern side of the Kruger National Park. Visit various interesting markets for souvenirs and delicious sub-tropical fruit on our way. Overnight accommodation will be in the Kruger National Park. A South African dinner served at the local restaurant will introduce you to the real Africa. Listen to the animal sounds while relaxing with a drink at hand around the swimming pool, or an optional night game drive in an open safari vehicle in the Kruger Park. Accommodation in air-conditioned bungalow with own bathroom. Day 2: (Microbus and open safari vehicle) An early wake up, for an open safari vehicle drive with a game ranger in search for the "Big Five" and a wide variety of other mammals nowhere else to be found in the world. After your safari experience we travel in Africa Explore Tours microbus to another camp where we will accommodate for the night. At 16h30 an open safari vehicle tour will be taken with a Kruger National Park ranger. Two and a half hours later at arrival back at the camp, a buffet dinner in a restaurant, where you can eat as much as you can consume. Accommodation in 2 (two) bed comfortable bungalow or chalet with own bathroom. Day 3: (Bush walk and open safari vehicle) Note: NO Bushwalks on Sundays. If your dates fall on a Sunday, the bushwalk will be replaced by a morning game drive in an open safari vehicle. This morning you are going on a bushwalk (3-4 hours) with an experienced Kruger National Park game ranger to spot the African animals on foot. A light snack breakfast will be served in the bush. On arrival back from the bushwalk, we exit the Kruger Park about an hour later and depart to the evergreen vegetation town of Graskop in the southern part of the breathtaking Panorama Route with a visit to the famous historical gold town of Pilgrim's Rest. Arrival time +- 18h00 in Johannesburg. Notes: Inclusive in tour cost: Accommodation, breakfast, dinner, day game drives, morning walk in Kruger Park, sunset-, and morning game drives in open safari vehicles in Kruger Park, guiding, pickup and drop off at OR Tambo Airport or Johannesburg area destination. Exclusive of cost: Gratuities, tips, conservation fees, alcohol and other beverages, lunch, phone calls, extra game drives and excursions and night game drives on first night at Tented Lodges. First day breakfast and last day dinner. What to take with on tour: Camera with enough spools and batteries. Sweater for night game drives. Hat or head protection for day game drives and morning walk. Sun protection for face and arms during day game drives. Comfortable shoes for morning walk. Swim suits as most places have a pool. Other: Remember to take malaria precautions during the hot summer months of September to April. (23 - 36 degrees Celsius). Regrets, no children under the age of 6 (six) permitted on the open safari vehicles, and not permitted on bushwalks under the age of 12 (twelve). Sharing - when 2 persons sharing one room accommodation. An additional R1,000-00 will be added to the cost per person per night if he/she wants a single room for the night.
